TOW: Fearfest-Premonition
TW: Parental Neglect and Emotional neglect. Time period: Geier is almost one in this story. Prompt: Festivals of the Past Wordcount: 700 words. As the nights darkened and the winds blew colder, the wolves of Namün began preparing for a celebration. A celebration of what, Geier did not understand. Only that it included a lot of various parts and a lot of secrecy. Geier was used to the latter, everyone kept secrets from him. Even when they thought they didn't. He knew his parents quieted once he entered the den and he knew his big brother Raban often looked at him sadly when he took him from kindergarten. Geier did not understand why they kept these secrets or what he was not understanding, but he was convinced he would one day find out! When Raban told Geier to stay off his paws for a bit, Geier was more than happy to agree. Yet, his lessons would not start for a few days. Geier grumbled at being left out again, like always. This was yet another day he had to make his own fun.
Hey so, I’m probably older than you think. In high school, I remember my friend bragging to me about an invite code he got for this new website, ‘DeviantArt.’ It was this cool new place users could post their art to, make friends, get inspired, so on. Once upon a time, that was a novelty. DA has never been my ‘main’ hub online, but it’s always had a special place in my heart. I’ve been active on this account since 2007. It really sucks they leaned so hard into the antithesis of art and the community that it once fostered. I appreciate all of you who read my comic here. I really, really do— you guys often have some of the best comments and reactions to things. I love it, so thank you. Bare with me, though, because I think this is important. AI poisons the digital world just as it takes a massive environmental toll on the real world. This site is a great example. I used to find neat art with a point of view, with intention. Now, I am only ever shown regurgitated garbage without
Hello Domainians, and in particular, Chandorians! Today I (Zo) bring some updates to the culture of the Domain’s current longest-standing pack!! These have been in the works for awhile, and the reasoning behind it has been something that I’ve wanted to fix for even longer. It has come to my attention that there has been a fair bit of concern over some of the names/titles used in Chandor’s ranks and tasks, so the biggest update here is to remove both the word ‘Totem’ and the various Hawaiian words in the rank names. I want to apologize for the discomfort this has caused and acknowledge that while unintentional, it was still a form of appropriation. I have also done a fair bit of rewriting on Chandor’s pack page (mostly to freshen it up, expand on a few things here and there). Go give it a quick ogle!! A few tweaks have been made to things but nothing drastic has changed about the culture. Lil intro blurb on top of page. Laws about taking mates/having pups removed; added the “Keep
